Frequently Asked Questions
DO YOU REPLICATE OTHER BAKERS' WORK?
We specialize in unique, bespoke designs tailored exclusively to your event. To protect the integrity of our art and ensure you receive a truly one-of-a-kind centerpiece, we do not offer exact replications of other bakers' work. Inspiration photos are always welcome to help us capture the overall vibe, colour palette, and theme, but the final design will be a unique custom creation.
Our best work happens when clients trust our creative expertise to design a cake that beautifully reflects their celebration, rather than attempting to recreate a carbon copy of someone else's design.
WHAT IS YOUR POLICY ON AI-GENERATED CAKE IMAGES?
We treat AI-generated images strictly as a mood board or vibe check for colour palettes and general themes—never as an exact blueprint.
AI images generate a digital perfection that doesn't account for real-world physics, gravity, or the natural behavior of buttercream and fondant. We create real, edible art with human hands. If you provide an AI-generated image, please expect a unique, hand-crafted interpretation, as an "exact replica" of a computer-generated graphic is structurally impossible.
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
We are located in the SW community of Glenbrook. We are home based, and our private kitchen is not open to the public. We do not accept walk-ins or unscheduled visitors.
DO YOU OFFER SAME DAY CAKES?
No, we do not offer same day cakes. All of our cakes are custom made, ordered in advance. We do not keep cakes on hand for same day pick up. We suggest ordering 4-6 weeks in advance to ensure availability.
WHEN SHOULD I PLACE MY ORDER?
We are typically booking 3-4 weeks in advance. We recommend booking your cake 4-6 weeks ahead to ensure availability.
CAN I DM YOU ON INSTAGRAM OR TEXT YOU TO PLACE AN ORDER?
To ensure absolute accuracy with your custom design and keep your details secure, all official inquiries must go through our website form. This allows us to keep your communication, contract, and reference photos safely organized in one place. We are unable to accept order details or designs via social media DMs, phone calls, or text messages.
HOW MUCH ARE YOUR CAKES?
Pricing is based on size and design. In order to provide a quote, we need to know how many people you would like the cake to feed (so we can determine the size) and the design you have in mind. If you have inspiration photos, that is helpful for us to see your vision. Starting prices and average ranges are available in the sizes and serving section.
DO YOU OFFER CUPCAKES AND CAKE POPS?
We do offer cupcakes as an add on to a cake order.
Sorry, we don't offer cake pops.
WHAT SIZE CAKE SHOULD I ORDER?
We recommend ordering your cake based on the number of servings you need. You can view cake sizes in the Sizes and Servings section.
DO YOU REQUIRE A DEPOSIT?
Yes, a 50% non refundable deposit is required to schedule your order. The balance is due the day before pick up. For orders booked with less than 2 weeks notice, full payment is due at the time of the order.
Payment is accepted through e-transfer. Your order is not secured in the schedule until the deposit is received. We cannot hold dates based on written or verbal communication. Deposits are required no later than 48 hours after the invoice has been sent, unless otherwise stated.
ARE ALL ELEMENTS ON THE CAKE EDIBLE?
While the vast majority or our decorations are made of sugar, some complex designs require structural support dowels such as internal wooden dowels, plastic skewers, or floral wire. We will remind you of these details at pick up, but please ensure all non-edible structural elements and toppers are removed before cutting and serving to your guests.
IS THE BAKERY NUT FREE?
No, the bakery is not nut free. While the ingredients for the majority of our cakes do not contain nuts, cross contamination is possible. If the allergy is severe we suggest working with a dedicated nut free kitchen.
DO YOU OFFER GLUTEN FREE OR VEGAN OPTIONS?
We do offer gluten "friendly" options by request.
However please note that our kitchen is not gluten free, so although we do our best to avoid it, there will be cross contamination on some level.
We do not offer vegan options.
CAN YOU ADJUST YOUR RECIPES TO MAKE MY CAKE "LESS SWEET"? DO YOU OFFER SUGAR FREE OPTIONS?
We do not alter our structural recipes or ingredient ratio by request.
Our signature cake and buttercream recipes have been meticulously developed to be perfectly balanced, light, and flavour forward. Our clients frequently choose us because our cakes are not overly sweet!
Additionally, we do not offer sugar-free or fruit based alternatives (such as sugar free smash cakes). We take immense pride in the consistent quality and tase of our bakes, and promise it will taste just as incredible as it looks!
HOW MANY FLAVOURS CAN I CHOOSE FOR MY CAKE?
You may choose 1 flavour of cake and buttercream per single tier of cake.
WHAT IS YOUR PICK UP POLICY?
Pick up is by appointment only. Your pick up time is a dedicated slot held specifically for you. If you are running late, please notify us immediately. If you miss your scheduled appointment time by more than 30 minutes, your pick up may be cancelled and rescheduled. Depending on our production schedule and kitchen hours, rescheduling may not be possible until the following business day. No refunds will be issued for missed appointments.
HOW SHOULD I CARE FOR MY CAKE?
Cakes are delicate. Real buttercream cakes love to be cold! To ensure your cake stays perfectly beautiful and structurally sound, please follow these strict handling guidelines:
Keep it cold: Your cake must be kept in the refrigerator until 1-2 hours before serving. Never leave it sitting out on a counter in a warm room or in direct sunlight.
Serving time: Buttercream tastes best at room temperature! Take the cake out of the fridge 1-2 hours before you plan to serve it so the buttercream can soften to the perfect, creamy consistency. If you are picking up the day before the event, please ensure you have the adequate fridge space to store the cake in.
Leftovers: Once cut, wrap any exposed cake sections in plastic wrap and return them to the fridge.
HOW SHOULD I TRANSPORT MY CAKE?
The cake must travel on a flat, level surface in your vehicle (passenger side floor or trunk is best).
In the warmer summer months, your car AC should be running to keep the cake cool. Do not leave the cake in your vehicle during summer months. Once you reach your destination, the cake must go straight into the refrigerator.
DO YOU DELIVER?
Yes, we offer delivery service through a third party service. Fees depend on the delivery location. A quote can be provided at the time of your order.
